Orthomolecular Medicine

This generally refers to the medical aspect and understanding of proper nutrition. See below. This can simply be the reduction of wheat and gluten. It can also refer to the removal of food dyes and preservatives with the addition of a specialized diet. Often, the specialized diet will utilize a high-powered blender to make nutritional aspects of certain foods available that would otherwise be missed during normal mastication (chewing). The specific foods are recommended either due to their individual benefits to either combat nutritional deficiencies or help beef up the function of various bodily functions. See: Nutrition
