ASKDRSKIP.COM, PLLC blends decades of clinical expertise with personal research. Dr. Skip, O.M.D., has traveled the world in pursuit of integrative medicine—from Orlando to a residency in Seoul and further study in New Delhi. Our site offers a curated collection of therapies, products, and resources, each selected through professional insight and real‑world experience with patients, friends, and family.
Effective Therapies
Over twenty-five years, Dr. Skip has evaluated countless holistic treatments for safety, efficacy, and tangible results. He highlights the most effective approaches—those that promote health with minimal side effects—helping you access affordable, evidence‑based solutions that support the body’s natural healing.
A Different Kind of Practitioner
Acute emergencies (e.g., car accidents) are best handled by conventional medicine. Chronic conditions, however, often benefit from an integrative, holistic approach. If your current provider isn’t open to traditional options, consider finding one who values collaboration, listens to your concerns, and empowers you to take charge of your health.
Live well. Be well.

Patrick “Dr. Skip” Hart O.M.D.
Oriental Medicine Physician
Dr. Skip (yep, that’s the fun name) is Board‑Certified and a Diplomate in Naturopathic Medicine (N.B.E.N.Q.A.) with a holistic supertoolkit—fertility, endometriosis, pelvic pain, PCOS, hormone balancing, functional medicine… and bodywork magic like acupuncture, manual therapies, and cupping. He merges modern science with Traditional Medicine (TM) to treat the whole you.
He sharpened his craft with graduate studies in TM at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine, then immersed himself in Oriental Medical Doctor Residency Training at Conmaul Integrated Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.
As co‑founder of ASKDRSKIP.COM, PLLC, he’s become a go‑to in Huntington (and beyond) for acupuncture, naturopathy, and all‑around holistic wellness. He also writes, teaches, and contributes to fertility documentaries like “Fertility! The Shared Journey with Merciér Therapy.” Plus, he’s a Certified Merciér Gyno‑Visceral Manipulation Therapist.
After a decade in the DFW area, he came home to West Virginia in 2019 and hasn’t stopped helping folks heal, flow, balance, and thrive since.
Jason (aka ‘J.’) Forsyth, B.B.A. – Finance
Practice Manager | Co-Founder | Health Blog Creator (NWU ID: 141382)
Meet J. — the behind‑the‑scenes engine of our operation since day one. In 2008, he laid the groundwork for everything we do. With a sharp foundation in finance and deep chops in software engineering and process optimization, he’s built (and continues to build) systems that let us scale smartly.
After a stellar 16-year run at AT&T—where he held the role of Technical Director of External & Legislative Affairs—he went all‑in with us in 2019. Now, he’s the glue that holds the machine together: managing vendor partnerships across tech, accounting, fulfillment, social media, branding—you name it.
Oh, and J. also moonlights (well, more like daylights) as our health blog writer, weaving together knowledge, strategy, and just the right amount of flair.
Grace Perego, Registered Nurse (RN)
The Moonlighting‑Shift Superhero of ASKDRSKIP.COM, PLLC
By day she’s a compassionate registered nurse taking care of labor and delivery patients at the hospital, but when the moon-lighting rises she transforms into the clinic’s very own “vampire‑therapist,” wielding a syringe like a wand and an IV drip like a silver‑lined lifeline.
Grace’s specialty? Delivering medical‑grade nutritional IVs, injections, and “pushes” that leave patients feeling revitalized—no garlic required.
Dr. Timothy Melvin
Owner, TMC | Marketing Director for ASKDRSKIP.COM, PLLC | Associate Professor & Director of Assessment, Marshall University
Meet Dr. Timothy Melvin, the creative mastermind behind TMC, a marketing consultancy that builds brands, crafts content, and tells stories in motion. By day (and often beyond), he rocks the role of Marketing Director at ASKDRSKIP.COM, PLLC, masterminding everything digital, social, and print to boost our visibility and voice.
But that’s not all—he’s also an Associate Professor & Director of Assessment at Marshall University’s College of Education and Professional Development. There, he’s all about leadership, assessment, and leveling up organizations.
With one foot in academia and the other in creative strategy, Dr. Melvin blends vision + insight + execution into every campaign, every lecture, every project.
Lois Griffon
Emotional Support Dog
Meet Lois “Nurse Lois” Griffon — our pint-sized but mighty emotional support pup at ASKDRSKIP.COM, PLLC. She may be small, but she’ll strut right up to giant dogs, wagging all the way. When she’s not spreading comfort, she’s off munching biscuits or catching some serious Z’s on her infrared mat with her brother Coal.
(P.S. She’s reminds you that there is no relation to that other Lois Griffin from Family Guy — just so we’re clear.)
If she’s not curled up nearby, she might surprise you with a spontaneous cameo (or bark at the staff). Loved by everyone she meets, Nurse Lois is always ready to be your four-legged friend. Want her to hang out at your next visit? Just ask when booking — she just might show up!
Coal (as in WV ‘Coal’)
Emotional Support Dog
Hi, I’m Coal – your emotional support dog, part-time lap invader, full-time happiness machine. I run on belly rubs, squeaky toys, and compliments (the more dramatic, the better). Got love to give? Great – I’ve got zero chill and a heart the size of Appalachia.
I don’t just meet strangers – I adopt them instantly. Delivery guy? New best friend. Jogger passing by? Let’s hang out. That Marshall squirrel? Okay, not a friend, but I tried.
Whether you’re feeling down or just bored, I’m here to turn your day around with a turbo-charged tail wag and an over-the-top snuggle. You bring the snacks, I’ll bring the vibe.
Let’s face it – I’m not just a good boy. I’m a Coal mine of pure joy.
