Ovaries are a major aspect of the female reproductive system. We used to joke in school that testicles of men were just ovaries that hadn’t descended in-utero. We all start out as female when we are maturing in the womb. These 2 glands are tiny little powerhouses about the size and shape of an almond and are situated near the fallopian tubes. The ovaries typically alternate by month producing a single, fertile egg available for conception. Imbalanced hormones in the body alone can easily send the delicate process of ‘ovulation’ right out the window further causing the body to be in a state dis-ease.
