Clinical Applications
Kidney DTX is formulated to support long-term kidney health and restore balance in cases of chronic kidney conditions. It may be beneficial for:

  • Chronic nephritic syndrome (nephritis, glomerulonephritis)
  • Chronic nephrotic syndrome (nephropathy)
  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD): characterized by proteinuria, edema, lower back soreness, fatigue, emaciation, flabby tongue with greasy coating, and a deep, thready, or wiry pulse

⚠️ Note: This formula is not recommended for acute kidney disorders and such cases should be referred immediately for medical care.

Western Therapeutic Actions
From a biomedical perspective, Kidney DTX provides:

  • Nephroprotective benefits to restore normal kidney filtration and excretion functions
  • Reduction of proteinuria and hematuria (protein and blood in the urine)
  • Antifibrotic activity to improve microvascular circulation and reduce interstitial fibrosis
  • Diuretic effects to increase urine output and decrease fluid retention

TCM Therapeutic Actions
Within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this formula works to:

  • Dispel dampness
  • Tonify Kidney yin
  • Tonify qi

Dosage

  • Standard adult dosage: 3 to 4 capsules, three times daily with warm water
  • For best results, take on an empty stomach
  • Safe for long-term use as part of a kidney support regimen

Cautions & Contraindications

  • Not suitable for acute kidney disorders; immediate medical intervention is required in those cases
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy and nursing

Nutrition
Proper dietary management is essential for protecting kidney function:

  • Restrict salt intake to 1–2 grams per day to reduce edema
  • Limit protein consumption to ease stress on the kidneys and minimize proteinuria. High-protein diets accelerate CKD progression by increasing intraglomerular pressure and urinary protein excretion
  • Vitamin D supplementation is recommended in patients with evidence of deficiency
  • Include lotus nodes in the diet for kidney support
  • Avoid sour and spicy foods, which can aggravate symptoms
