Hypochlorhydria referenced below is a digestive disturbance PATTERN often noted in Functional Medicine Labs whereby production of hydrochloric acid in gastric secretions of the stomach and other digestive organs is absent or low inhibiting optimal digestion/breakdown/absorption of consumed nutrients helping create an environment of mal-absorption and mal-nourishment. This occurs often with fluids we consume, which is why many of us are dehydrated despite drinking plenty of fluids.

This diet is for patients by prescription only to help increase nutrition as indicated by Hypochlorhydria, balance blood sugar, support energy, and reduce insulin resistance as follows: Never self-prescribe.

  • Within 2 hours of waking, have a Frog Fuel, Nanomeal or protein shake to fuel your body.
  • Snack every few waking hours to keep your blood sugar steady.
  • Have 1 tablespoon of nut butter right before bed or as need to balance blood sugar.
  • Listen to your hunger — if you’re hungry, it’s time for a snack (with protein or healthy fat!).

🌱 Digestive Support & Nutrient Absorption

If you’re dealing with malnutrition or poor absorption (hypochlorhydria), your body needs easily digestible nutrient-rich proteins and good fats to heal and fuel.

✅ What to Do

  • Use Frog Fuel and Nanomeals or protein shakes, bars, meat sticks regularly.
  • If not using a shake, take EnzymixPro with meals to support digestion and nutrient absorption and thyroid support.
    • Think of this as a sign your body needs extra support — especially from nutritional protein and fats.

💡 Additional Prescription Support

Consider Aquapuncture IV nutrient administration in our office to boost absorption and nutrition if prescribed.
