Magnesium Supplementation & Stress:
Relaxation is the key to regaining your health. Stress, adrenaline surges and cortisol imbalances will halt progress in your health goals and keep you sick. A great relaxation technique is to lie on the floor with you bottom all the way to the wall. Put your legs up on the wall and relax with your eyes closed for 10 minutes. Do this technique (2) times per day. It is a great alternative to meditation and takes no effort whatsoever. It takes the stress off of your nervous system and aids significantly in relaxation. Over time this technique will undoubtedly help you sleep, reduce stress, as well as help to alleviate anxiety.
Meditation and relaxation have well researched and well documented studies that show significant improvement in health in conditions ranging from high blood pressure to concentration.
If you are having trouble sleeping then Magnesium is one of the best suggestions I can offer you. Magnesium is needed for many functions within our systems and since it is something we don’t make ourselves – we need large additional magnesium in order to get our levels up, therefore, supplementation is a must.
Few realize just how important the mineral magnesium is to their overall health and well-being. Did you know that magnesium influences many bodily processes, including digestion, energy production, muscle function, bone formation, creation of new cells, activation of B vitamins and relaxation of muscles, as well as assisting in the functions of the heart, kidneys, adrenals, brain and nervous system? The fact is that lack of sufficient available magnesium in the body can interfere with any or all of these processes. The National Institutes of Health, Office of Dietary Supplements, reports that there is an increased interest in the role of magnesium in preventing and managing disorders such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
Diets of the industrialized world, with their processed foods and use of refined sugar and flour, are commonly quite low in magnesium. A significant percentage of the population has ‘below healthy’ magnesium levels, including many who already use magnesium. The amount of magnesium required by the body is much greater than you would think. Additionally, most magnesium capsules and tablets are not completely absorbed by the body.
Deficiency can cause a wide variety of symptoms:
Low energy, fatigue, weakness, PMS and hormonal imbalances, inability to sleep, weakening bones, muscle tension, spasms & cramps, abnormal heart rhythms, headaches, anxiousness, nervousness and irritability! Just to name a few. Caution should be exercised with therapeutically supplementing Magnesium when kidneys disease is present. Please inform the office.

Magnesium works amazingly well in conjunction with the neurotransmitter supplement ‘Kavinase Ultra PM‘ for insomnia. 1 capsule 45 minutes before bed is usually sufficient. In rare cases, 2 capsules may be used, if needed.
Additionally, you can apply a dose of Progesterone Cream to your forearm.
1 pump is 50mg. Take this dose with a tablespoon of organic nut butter or a small low-glycemic/light protein snack. Please do not eat sugar or carb snacks with this medication. Remember we are also balancing blood sugar which is an important aspect of your immune system.
This cocktail will have a tendency to knock you on your butt! Have a relaxing evening, get to bed early and happy sleeping. The after effects in the morning are minimal and burn off quickly.
