This fall, Monsanto, the corporation who produces roughly 90% of the world’s genetically modified seeds, will try to bring their new, GMO sweet corn to a grocery store aisle or farmer’s market near you.

Read this article before you have any more radiographs or imaging studies. BE INFOMRED!

http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/708042?src=mpnews&spon=2&uac=81207PR

From Heartwire

“Worrisome” Radiation Doses With Imaging, New Study Finds Michael O’Riordan

August 27, 2009 (Atlanta, Georgia) — Medical imaging procedures expose many nonelderly patients to substantial doses of ionizing radiation, according to the results of a new study [1]. Myocardial perfusion imaging alone accounts for 22% of the radiation dose from all study procedures, while computed-tomography (CT) scans of the abdomen, pelvis, and chest account for nearly 38%, report investigators.

“Our findings that in some patients worrisome radiation doses from imaging procedures can accumulate over time underscores the need to improve their use,” write lead investigator Dr Reza Fazel (Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA) and colleagues. “Unlike the exposure of workers in healthcare and the nuclear industry, which can be regulated, the exposure of patients cannot be restricted, largely because of the inherent difficulty in balancing the immediate clinical need for these procedures, which is frequently substantial, against the stochastic risks of cancer that would not be evident for years, if at all.”

The analysis, which studied 952 420 adults aged 18 to 64 years in five US cities, is published in the August 27, 2009 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.

During the study period, which ran from 2005 to 2007, 655 613 adults underwent at least one imaging procedure associated with radiation exposure. The mean effective dose was 2.4 mSv per person per year, although a wide distribution was noted. Moreover, the proportion of subjects undergoing procedures and their mean doses varied according to age, sex, and city. For example, approximately 50% of adults aged 18 to 34 years underwent a medical imaging procedure requiring radiation, whereas 86% of adults 60 to 64 years of age were sent for similar testing. Women also underwent imaging procedures significantly more often than men.

In terms of rates of exposure to moderate and high doses of radiation, 193.8 per 1000 enrollees were exposed to moderate levels of radiation and 18.6 per 1000 enrollees were exposed to high levels. The researchers point out that although most subjects received less than 3 mSv per year, “effective doses of moderate, high, and very high intensity were observed in a sizable minority.”

The Element of Risk

In an editorial accompanying the published study [3], Dr Michael Lauer (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Bethesda, MD) writes that the number of CT scans obtained has quadrupled since 1992 and that between 1993 and 2001 the number of myocardial perfusion scans increased more than 6% each year, “with no justification for their use based on disease rates, healthcare disparities, or newly published, definitive randomized trials.” Moreover, despite abnormalities on myocardial perfusion scans being powerful predictors of future events, no study has shown that aggressive therapy in these high-risk patients can improve future outcomes, notes Lauer.

Because the use of radiation carries an element of risk, “we need to adopt a new paradigm for our approach to imaging,” writes Lauer. “Instead of investing so many resources in performing so many procedures, we should step back and design and execute desperately needed large-scale, randomized trials to figure out which procedures yield net benefits.”

Lauer argues that with few exceptions, such as mammography, most radiologic testing offers net negative results, because there is little high-level evidence and cumulative exposure can produce real harm, namely radiation-induced cancer.

He contends that physicians should approach imaging with the same “humility” others approached experimental treatments for acute coronary syndromes and that these tests should be subjected to rigorous randomized, controlled, clinical trials. Second, physicians should take a careful history of the patient to determine the cumulative dose of radiation a patient has already received and provide clear, personalized information about the risks of iatrogenic cancer.

“If we began a national conversation about the dangers of ionizing radiation, it might cause enough discomfort to stimulate demand for high-quality evidence our patients deserve,” writes Lauer.

As most of you already know, I have been seriously entrenched in health and wellness product research for over 10 years. I have traveled all over the world reviewing hundreds of products, and attending countless seminars and lectures…and have been personally introduced to some of the most cutting edge “supplements” available today. Through all of my research, I never came across a product with more merit, and such promise, as the one called ASEA.

ASEA is quite literally, stabilized, reactive molecules in a bottle. These molecules are suspended in a saline solution that matches the natural pH of the human body, and they work at the deepest cellular level…specifically, in the mitochondria. To the layman, this product needs a bit of explanation which is covered in detail by a short, animated video on my website, www.askdrskip.teamasea.com. This video very simply details specifically how ASEA affects our cellular health, while also increasing glutathione, SOD and Catalase levels by 500%. Testing by the FDA has shown absolutely zero toxicity in ASEA.
ASEA – $37.00 per bottle
[wp_cart:ASEA:price:37.00:end]

Recently, ASEA Corporation flew me, to their headquarters to meet the founders, CEO’s and the key scientist behind ASEA, Dr. Gary Samuelson – I was more than impressed, to say the least; not only with the science behind it, called Redox Signaling, but also with the caliber and vision of those directly involved with its creation. I came away with a high level of excitement and anticipation at just what this product could mean to the world.

Just a few weeks ago, ASEA received its Athletic Drug Testing Certification and it has been approved for use by all high-level competitive, endurance athletes, including Olympic Athletes. Incredibly, controlled testing by Dr. Eric Heiden and his team showed that ASEA significantly increased the Ventilatory Threshold by an average of 12% in only two weeks. Typically, a full year of intense training will show an increase of only 2%-5%. There is a plethora of printed research on all of this, and I would be more than happy to forward it to you if you like.

Additionally, ASEA has been clinically shown to improve adrenal fatigue, skin issues, and immune system disorders; not to mention bacterial, fungal and viral loads.

ASEA is considered a one of the most important breakthroughs of our time, primarily because the signaling molecules that were once thought impossible to stabilize…are now stabilized. The 16 molecules that are in ASEA are found in virtually the same concentration inside the cells in your immune system. The generalized explanation is that this product will reboot your cellular/immune system.

I encourage any and all questions you may have about this incredible product. I hope that you will take a few moments to visit my website to watch the video and read more about it. There is also a new u-tube link where you can hear the founders of ASEA tell their story. Please visit this link at: www.YouTube.com/ASEAvideo.

Anything ingredient listed as “Seasonings”

This little guy is a secret ingredient that has been shown in recent studies to actually cause weight gain. This horrible, very unhealthy and down-right dangerous ingredient is used in the great name of being a “flavor enhancer”. It is common to go to various restaurants and see signs that say “no added MSG” and while this is a great thing…the problem lies in that it can and most often is used in the processing of the food before it reaches the restaurant.

MSG is considered an “excitotoxin,” which means that it functions in the system by exciting the neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters are your master brain chemicals. We can test them to determine your levels with a simple urine test. This will help us to determine a very fundamental state of your health. The imbalances that are shown on the results can be corrected very easily with some extraordinary products.

MSG being an “excitotoxin” has been linked to many various conditons ranging from simple headaches to severe strokes and seizues. I don’t know about you…but neither of those things, nor anything in between, sound all that great to me. It is in your best interest to avoid them at all costs. There are so many times that I pass people in restaurants and coffee shops putting 2-4 packets of the “pink” blindly in their coffee – having no idea just how dangerous it is. Just because it sits on the shelf in the grocery store doesn’t mean that its safe. The FDA has a classification where they distinguish ingredients as G.R.A.S. which means ”Generally Regarded As Safe”. Under this classification if they state that something is “natural” it just means that is once started out as natural…doesn’t also mean that its safe. Again, here I can’t stress and reinterate enough you must be an advoate for your own health.

Read the book “Excitotoxins – The Taste that Kills” by Russell L. Blaylock, M.D. In this book, your eyes will be opened so wide about the dangers of MSG, as well as other harmful chemicals, that I highly recommend you avoid (i.e.: saccharin, aspartame, sucralose – pink, blue and yellow respectivly).

Removing and eliminating the MSG from your life is not an easy undertaking, I am sorry to say. Especially if you eat out very often. A great place to start on this journey of removing harmful chemicals from your life is to completly avoid anything with MSG! See the list above for other names that MSG might be called on a label.

Tips for Avoiding MSG

Organic whenever possible.

Prepare your own food. Use ingredients, spices and foods that are not processed.

When using spices, pre-packed foods, etc. make a trip to a Health Food Store and buy them without the harmful ingredients.

It’s your life and your health we are talking about. I’m sure that the cost will be made up in increased energy, less doctor visits and missed work. I assure you that just because you are eating organic and healthy that is doesn’t have to taste bad. Ask any of my friends and family – I love to eat. I love the taste of food. When Julia Child was asked by her husband what she liked to do, her reply was “eat”! That is so me! I have been doing it for years and while I understand and sympathize with the expense it is worth it and the healthy alternatives most often actually taste better than those chemical laden counterparts.

A few good example of previous recommendations are switching from table salt to sea salt and from conventional ground beef to grass-fed organic beef. Give them a try for a few months then try your “old friends” again – and you will quickly see why I recommend the things that I do.

Foods and products that you may not realize contain MSG are: chips, candy, gum, medications, vitamin and nutritional supplements, vaccines and bottled drinks. I am not trying to scare you, I just want you to be aware and be careful. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

[singlepic=14,320,240,,left]This wonderful supplement goes way beyond any other B12 products that I have seen, used or recommended for my patients. It’s unique sublingual formula provides 2000mcg Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin), 30mg NSE Methylators, 200mcg Folic Acid, 25mcg Biotin, 4mg Vitamin B-6, as several other co-factors. Research supports the fact that sublingual administration of B-12 provides almost identical benefits as injections of Vitamin B-12.

When taken in combination with our Lypospheric Vitamin C, dramatic lowering of homocysteine levels and benefits in prevention of Alzheimer’s, aging, cancer and arteriosclerosis have been seen. Do some additional research about what major organizations like the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are saying about high levels of homocysteine. Beyond B-12 brings the most beneficial B Vitamins, along with Folic acid and B-6 into the body in a proven absorbable method. This is so important because if you are not absorbing it you are wasting your money and offering no health benefits to your system.

Folic acid deficiency is an problem of epidemic proportions. Folic acid deficient people are extremely susceptible to viral, fungal and bacterial infections. Drinking alcohol will destroy folic acid stores within your body making you deficient. This process can happen very quickly. Folic acid has been shown to slow the onset of Alzheimer’s and minimize the severity of symptoms. There are studies that show that a large portion of all pregnant women are at a severe risk of folic acid deficiency, which can lead to cleft palate, brain damage and developmental and learning disabilities in the child. Folic acid has also been shown to help combat a circulation problem. This is such a common problem in the aging population. It offers an effective method to dialate the small vessels. Folic Acid along with B12 and the supplment WOBENZYM offers effective cardiovascular support unlike the use of aspirin which may give you a false sense of security when you are trying to prevent heart attacks and strokes.

B-6 is vital to assist with the body’s ability to utilize protein, which is essential for the replacement of the hundreds of billions cells that we wear out daily. B-6 deficiency is associated with loss of hair, water retention, numbness and cramps in the arms and legs, visual disturbances and increased urination. B-6 has such wonderful results for women that it has been called the “woman’s vitamin” because it is so vital to their physical and mental well-being.

There is also some evidence that Methylcobalamin can be associated with restoring male sexual potency by improving testicular function. This is a whole additional topic all by itself. There are several other products that work so well on this front such as Testropinol, Beyond Testosterone, Beyond Growth Hormone, etc. If this is an issue please contact me so that we can review any labs you may have a formulate a protocol specifically for you.

I cannot think of a situation in which Pau d’arco doesn’t comes to mind. This is an amazing bark from a tree with widespread healing properties. It is derived from the inner bark of the Tabebuia Avellanedae or Tabebuia Impetiginosa (Taheebo) tree grown in South America. It is also known by other names such as Lapacho. Pau d’Arco Tea has been used for many centuries by the Indio tribes of South America. The ancient Incas and Aztecs were probably the first to be familiar with the herb’s healing capabilities.

It is an ozoniferous plant, and grows only in the mountains of the Andes. Ozone air is fresh, pure, and free from pollution, smog, exhaust, smoke and pesticides. Researchers have discovered that the Pau D’Arco tree is the only type of vegetation known that will not permit the development of fungus. Most plant life, when exposed to weather and excess moisture, will become covered with spores which lead to fungus formation. Fungus and candida are something that just about everyone, to some extent, is dealing with and taking this wonderful herb will assist in regaining and/or maintaining health!

This herb has been shown useful for a variety of conditions ranging from:

Other actions that have documented by using Pau d’Arco have shown that it is a hepatotonic – which means it tones, balances and strengthens the liver. It is also an immunostimulant, its benefits will also strengthen the body’s immune system, which assists heavily in preventing liver disease. Claims have also been made that it assists in removing poisons from the liver tissue, as well as promoting healthy liver function. From a Naturopathic perspective this is a fundamental organ that must be healthy to maintain a body that is in homeostasis. Having a clean and healthy liver means many things – healthy skin, nails, stomach and blood.

If you search the web you will find an overwhelming amount of information available on this miraculous herb. I like this product so much because it is loaded with amazing properties and minerals. It can be used to virtually sustain life because it is practically a food. We are not using this to forcibly to make some “change” within the body – we are gently helping the body to return to its natural healthy state of homeostasis.

When selecting a brand to use for medicinal purposes, please be extremely selective as to which product you choose. I have used several brands and the one that I use at home and recommend exclusively is from Blessed Herbs – is it available in the on-line store and in our clinic. I chose this company for their high quality control and stringent selectivity of the herbs and the processing.

Pau d’Arco is the most useful when it has been made into a tincture. That just means that after the herb has been harvested it has been soaked in an alcohol. Soaking it in the alcohol extract the most potent ingredients and helps it to be assimilated and utilized by the body most effectively. The benefits of this amazing plant are endless…

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask! Good luck!

I consider him a mentor and listen intently when he speaks. I have been utilizing his protocols and products with my family and patients for many years. One thing is for sure where Dr. Gordon is concerned…he cares about one thing – YOUR HEALTH! He is one amazing man on the front-lines, fighting your health and health rights. Products that are created or recommended by Dr. Gordon WORK! Its just that simple. It would be my pleasure to help educate you on health and health care matters if you have any questions about products or protocols discussed here.

Below is an article written about a product that my fellow doctors tease me, that if didn’t exist or was pulled from the market… then how could I continue to practice!

There is seldom a condition that I can think of that wouldn’t benefit from the on-going use of Wobenzym.

Please read his article very carefully, and please don’t hesitate to make an appointment with me if you have any questions about implementing anything that I discuss into your health regiment…

Wobenzym® is backed by millions of dollars of research. While this research has been primarily done in Europe, there are FDA – approved studies under way in the United States on the effects of Wobenzym on Osteo-Arthritis and Multiple Myeloma. Studies in Europe have documented an average lowering of C-reactive protein levels (a marker of chronic infection in the body) of 30%!

New research, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, has documented that higher levels of C-reactive protein have up to 6 times the incidence of death from heart attack and stroke as lower levels. This obviously means that long-term use of Wobenzym® can be life saving.

In addition, it has the well deserved reputation of being the leading natural safe alternative for anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Ibuprofen. Anti-inflammatory drugs kill over 25,000 people each year in the U.S. and send many more to the hospital needing care for side effects, such as bleeding ulcers. In contrast, Wobenzym® is sold in over 40 countries, has been used by millions, and has killed no one!

Olympic teams use Wobenzym®. This is because it works so well, as shown by a 50% reduction in reported injuries, and because it remarkably enhances healing after injury. This is partly due to the RUTIN’s (bioflavanoids) ability to prevent the discoloration and local pain associated with traumatic injuries. For these same reasons, leading surgeons now routinely prescribe the use of Wobenzym® to prevent bruising and edema and the associated pain for their post-surgical patients.

Focused on treating the molecular causes of many health problems, Wobenzym® has been shown beneficial in virtually every health problem.

To become familiar with Enzyme Therapy, we recommend reading Enzymes, A Drug of the Future, by Dr. Heinrich Wrba.

Wobenzym®, acting synergistically with our oral chelation product Beyond Chelation ImprovedTM, has been shown to:

Substantially reduce the incidence of fatal blood clots now known to be induced by the sudden breakdown of vulnerable plaque.

Increase feelings of well-being because of its antioxidant and cholesterol lowering effects.

Allow fewer heart attacks or strokes because of anti-thrombotic, anti-spasmodic and anti-arrhythmic abilities.

Promote longevity due to the control of many of the molecular bases of aging.

Improve results with arterial blockages caused by Herpes and CMV.

Provide protection from environmental toxins in the air, water and food.

Be beneficial when used to treat Autoimmune, Rheumatic and Cardiovascular Diseases, Inflammations, Injuries, Infections, and Tumor Illnesses, Osteo and Rheumatoid Arthritis, Joint and Muscle Pain, Herpes and Other Viral Infections, Cancer and Hepatitis C, Recurrent Miscarriages and many other Degenerative Diseases.

THE REAL PROOF IS IN YOUR RESULTING HEALTH!

Wobenzym® is formulated with natural nutrients that work directly in the bloodstream. It is SAFE and effective with NO DETRIMENTAL SIDE EFFECTS. It can be taken regularly and with confidence to reduce pain and enhance the functioning of organs and bodily systems.

Wobenzym® must IDEALLY be taken at least 30 minutes before meals or 60 minutes after meals. An excellent time to take it is just before bedtime and immediately upon arising. Keep the bottle next to your toothbrush. Read the interview with the author of the book – Cancer is a fungus! Dr. Simoncini says that it is a fungus!! Cancer is a very controversial subject…however, that being said, I believe that it is as well! Dr. Simoncini has been treating cancer in Rome for years with fantastic results. I have read his book and conversed with him – and based on my research and explorations – he has solidified in my mind the importance of proper pH balance in the body.

In my opinion it is important to main proper pH in the body as a overall preventative measure for cancer. There are several things that are part of my current regime that I recommend that help to assist the body’s pH to be more alkaline.

One of my most favorite, cost effective and simple ways to do this is with Apple Cider Vinegar. It must be Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar! Add 1 tablespoon of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar with 1 tsp of Organic, Raw, Highly Enzymatic Honey with 8-10 ounces of water. Mix well and drink 2-3 times per day.

This old folk remedy is so beneficial I can’t think of a reason why you shouldn’t make it part of your daily routine. In fact, I just discovered that the mother of a close friend, who happens to be a nurse, has been doing this for years - attributes this to her optimal health.

Another remedy that works well for maintaining a good pH and optimal body alkalinzation is Ionized Water. (coming soon)

Green Drink (coming soon)!!

If you would like more information on what he is doing in regards to the treatment of cancer… I can’t recommend enough that you get his book. Cancer is a Fungus, by Tulio Simoncini, M.D.
