  1. Is there a way to increase the level of acid in your saliva to help prevent cavities?

  2. Kimble,

Okay…here’s the thing… From my perspective without any additional information I would be inclined to think that having more acidic saliva is not the answer to your cavity dilemma. I would however, be sure to limit the amount of sugar that is eaten as that will actually make the body more acidic and actually cause the teeth to be more prone to cavities.

I would look into using more natural toothpaste that does not contain fluoride but, natural alternative ingredients that support strong and healthy teeth. Consuming adequate amounts of a variety of veggies is also going to be a strong benefit. Fundamentally what is actually occurring is too much acidity within the body… I would concentrate on making the body as a whole more alkaline. This can be done easily with the fresh vegetables. Also, adding 1 tablespoon to 8-10 ounces of water with a touch a organic honey is also a great way to stay more alkaline and maintain good health. See the article on the site entitled Apple Cider Vinegar.

If this continues to be an issue – we might need to find a dentist with experience in the holistic realm. Please let me know if I can be of any further help.

    Be Well!
